From port-intensive itineraries to onboard entertainment that gives you the best of luxury and mainstream cruiselines, you'll find what you're looking for with Azamara Club Cruises.
What sets Azamara Club Cruises apart?
Azamara Club Cruises has two ships, the Journey and the Quest. Like Oceania’s older ships, these were purchased from the defunct Renaissance cruise line, which went under in 2001, and the experience is somewhere in between the premium cruise lines and the luxury ones. They have a more casual country club atmosphere – you’ll never be forced into a suit and tie occasion. They still offer high end services, though; things such as complimentary spirits, beer, and wine and free gratuities make Azamara stand out among others in its cruise class.
Activities are more reminiscent of traditional mainstream cruises. Make a fool of yourself in karaoke or play a round of bingo. The themed spa package is just the ticket when you need some R&R, and I never turn down a good massage! Afterward, choose from a competitive ping pong tournament, mixology classes, or a variety of unique activities that I haven’t really seen anywhere else – and that’s saying something. The entertainment is intimate and low-key as you won’t find a stage on these ships, but the performers range from harpists to beautiful vocalists and will draw you in with their enthusiasm. (Okay, I may or may not have been snapping my fingers and tapping my toes by the end of the jazz trio performance.)
Service goes above and beyond; we loved our personal butler, who was always ready to meet any of our requests. It’s also nice to be greeted with a cold towel after sweating the day away on a particularly exciting excursion. Speaking of which, Azamara prides itself on port-intensive itineraries much like Oceania does. You’ll be able to choose from busy itineraries that will allow you to explore so much on a single cruise and enrich your knowledge of the world. The traveler in you will be ever so thankful!
But Azamara allows you to enrich your palate as well as your mind. When you’re not in the port cities, you’ll experience delicious casual dining. The food is a step up from premium cruise lines like Celebrity, and you have a lot of flexibility in how and where you dine. Choose from four restaurants – all delicious, all with complimentary house wine, and most with vintage wines for purchase. There are also two reservation-only restaurants that your taste buds will thank you for.
So treat yourself to a cruise full of exploration, high end quality, and a country club environment that will leave you wanting more without breaking the bank. Let us help you plan your Azamara Club Cruise.
